Crucifixion, sent to fight in games, pushed off a cliff, having molten lead poured down throat

Groups of volunteers who patrolled the streets at night looking for criminals, run away slaves etc

What were Urban Cohorts?
Soldiers (almost like a riot squad). Did not patrol the city but kept peace if a riot broke out

What were the Praetorian Guard?
Large groups who were the Emperor's Guard. Did not patrol the streets but were responsible for Emperor's personal safety
