What are the 5 enviromental factors that affect participation?
Pollution,Humidity,Terrain,Weather and Altitude

How does alitude affect performance and participation?
Altitude- are is thinner at a higher altitude so there is less oxygen for those who train in these conditions. After a while the body adapts and produces more blood cells. This means when you perform you will have better musclar endurance.

How does pollution affect performance and participation?
There is less oxygen in polluted air meaning the muscles aren't recieving enough oxygen thus negatively affecting muscular endurance.

How does Terrain affect performance and participation?
If the terrain is e.g wet and slippy, the athlete will stuggle to train porperly and may result in injury.

How does weather affect participation and performance?
It it is e.g freezing the muscles are colder and work less effienctley than warm muscles therefore providing a disadvantageous performance to other athletes

How does humidity affect participation and performance?
If your trainin gin humid conditions, you sweat more which means you become dehydrated faster.
