Causes blood vessels to tighten (vasoconstricton) and descreases metabolic activity 2 of 5 What does it do for injury? Restricts blood flow to the injured area which reduces swelling. Also breaks down tissue and aids muscle repair. 3 of 5 Effect of it After leaving the ice bath the injured area is flooded with new blood (vasodilation) and fresh oxygen removes lactic acid. 4 of 5 Is it a good method to use?
