Types of Number and BODMAS
Integers
Integers are just whole numbers which are either positive or negative, including 0
(eg:-375, 0, -1, -2, 2) are integers whereas (eg: 0.5, square root 7 and 13 and 3/4) are not integers
ALL NUMBERS AR EITHER RATIONAL OR IRRATIONAL
Rational Numbers
can be written as fractions (most numbers we deal with are rational)
Rational Numbers come in 3 different forms:
1) Integers (eg:4= 4/1, -5= -5/1)
2) Fractions (eg: 1/4, 1/2)
3) Terminating or Recurring Decimals (eg: 0.125= 1/8)
Irrational Numbers
are messy; they cannot be written as fractions, they are never-ending decimals.
