The cell cycle
The cell cycle consists of Interphase (G1, S ,G2), mitosis and cytokinesis.
- Interphase includes the 'S' phase, where DNA replication occurs
- Mitosis is division of the nucleus
- Cytokinesis is division of the cytoplasm, splitting into two daughter cells.
- 'G1' is where proteins and nucleotides are produced
