Kashmir earthquake:
Location: Pakistan.
Margin: destructive plate margin; Indian plate was subducted under the Eurasian plate.
Date: 8th October 2005.
Measurement: 7.6 on the Moment Magnitude Scale.
Area damaged: 30,000 km^2 of the area.
Aftershocks: 1,000 in following weeks.
Social impacts:

80,000 people died.

Hundreds of thousands were injured.

Water pipes and electricity lines were broken.
