Diet and Exercise
There are 3 main types of food groups: Protein, Carbohydrates and fats. A mixture of these are needed to keep the body healthy.
Protein

Fats
Meat, fish, eggs and cheese
Potatoes, Pasta, bread, rice
Cheese, butter, margarine and oils
Growth and Repair
A source of energy for life process.
Fats are needed to repair membranes and insulate our bodies.
Mineral ions and vitamins are also important in a healthy diet. They are needed in small amounts for healthy functioning of the body.
