Timeline:

1698 – Augustus allies with Frederick against Sweden

1699 – Peter secretly allies with Augustus

August 1700 – Russia declares war on Sweden and moves to attack them, his timing is off however – as Frederick has just withdrawn from the war after a defeat outside Copenhagen

October 1700 – Charles XII lands his army in Livonia – where Peter and Augustus are threatening Narva and Riga respectively.

November 1700 – Charles’ army routes the Russians before Narva – This was regarded as a disaster by Peter…
