Roman Crime and Punishment

The Roman Empire included most countries around Italy, and had sea borders with the Mediterranean. This created problems for law and order within Ancient Rome itself. There were two different areas to manage:

- Provinces (Parts of Empire that weren't Rome)

- The City of Rome

Typical crimes:

- Robbery - Rich living near poor, poor would steal from rich often (things they needed or wanted).
