Motor Units & Spatial Summation:
Motor Unit - A motor neurone & its muscle fibres
All the motor neurones leading to skeletal muscles have branches each which leads to a junction with a single msucle fibre - Neuromuscular junction
Nerve impulses pass down a singular motor neurone & cause a contraction in all the muscle fibres.
All or nothing law - muscle fibres either contract (maximally) or do not contract; there is no such thing as a partial contraction
