lady mcbeth 2

act 1 scene 6

lady macbeth is a disassembling character

'look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it'

the serpent is a biblical image and a symbol of evil, its a recurring theme through out macbeth, appearance vs reality

'in every point twice and then double'

false face, says all they have done doesnt compare to honour, hyperbole to compliment duncan
