STRUCTURAL ISOMERISM (same molecular formula but different structural formula)
Positional Isomerism - the same functional group appears in different positions
Functional Group Isomerism - the functional groups are different
Chain Isomerism - the chain lengths are different ie branched or unbranched
STEREOISOMERISM (atoms are bonded in the same order but have different spatial arrangements)
E/Z Isomerism - E = opposite (the different groups are on opposite sides of the molecule)
Z = together (the different groups are on the same side of the molecule)
