Ionic Bonding
Ionic Bonding occurs when electrons are transferred from one atom to another. As a result both atoms get stable electronic structures/ arrangements (a full outer shell)
The atom that gains electrons gains a negative charge, however the atom that loses electrons gains a positive charge because it now has more protons than electrons.
