Intermolecular forces are weak electrostatic interactions between neutral molecules and ions. 

There are different types of intermolecular forces such as:

Hydrogen Bonding:

• Strongest type of intermolecular force
• Only act between hydrogen and nitrogen,oxygen and fluorine.
