Ethnicity and voting behaviour

There is a clear partisan divide and race gap on voting. White people are typically more rightwing and ethnic minorities are typically more left-wing.

Reasons for strong ethnic support for Labour.

The conservatives in the past have been highly racist and against immigrants therefore there is a high resentment for them within the BAME community. e.g white fright power and Windrush - People from the west indies came over to the UK to work and the UK conservatives decided years after they had cam over to deport them and stop immigration which caused a hostile environment.
