Electricity Summary
Electrical circits!
Electricity is a flow of Electrons. Electricity flows through conductors but not insulators. Metals are good conductors , plastic and wood are good insulators.
Cells and power packs proide safe low voltage energy. Most applicants use Mains Electricity.
A complete Circuit is needed for energy to flow :)
Symbols we need to use when drawing circits
The CURRENT is the amount of electricity Flowing in a circuit. The unit for the current is the AMP (A). Current is measured using an ammeter.
The RESISTANCE of a circuit is a way of saying how easy or difficult or easy it is to flow.
-High resistance - Hard for electricity to flow - small current
- Low resistance - easy to flow…
