Polymers: 

• Alkenes can be used to make polymers.
• Lots of smaller molecules (monomers) = very larger molecules (polymers).
• Alkenes can act as monomers: they have double bonds.
• Different polymers have different uses, for example: 

- Polyethene = plastic bags & bottles.

- Polypropene = crates & ropes.
