Chemistry- Isotopes

Atoms of the same element with different number of neutrons are called isotopes.

Isotopes always have the same atomic number but different mass number. E.g. two isotopes for carbon are carbon-12 and Carbon-13. The carbon-12 has six protons and 6 neurons. Whereas the Carbon-13 has 6 protons 7 neutrons, one more than carbon.
