Catalytic Converter

There are two different types of catalytic converter. A heterogenous catalyst is when the catalyst is in a different state to the reactants. A homogenous catalyst is when the catalyst is in the same state as the reactants.

A catalytic converter is made from platinum, rhodium or palladium.
