British film is significantly smaller than the american film industry and thus the american film industry receive far more funds that the independent films made by the British film industry.
Distribution rights for British films are sold just to get the film shown.this shows the lengths the BFI have to go just to get the film shown.
the point of British film is to convey the importance of the message being told. In addition they cast a representation of Britain to be poor, working class, broken society,. we are shown the underbelly of the UK.
audience play a huge part in the profits made and in the film making process.They determine the success or failure of the film and the films must be made to preference.
