Advantages and Disadvantages of artificial cloning in animals

ADVANTAGES 

• High value animals can be cloned in high numbers e.g. cows which produce large yeilds of milk
• Endangered animals can be cloned to reserve the species 
• Genetically modified animals can be produced quickly e.g. sheep which contain pharmaceutical chemicals in their milk 

DISADVANTAGES 

• Sometimes producing these clones is not necessarily humane. There have been cases where animals are produced which are in discomfort and unable to walk
