What were the causes of poverty in the Tudor England?

The biggest problem was facing those looking for work in this period was steadily rising population. The increased of population meant more people had to travel round and this caused unemployment. England was becoming richer and richer and some people as well, but not everyone did. Half of the population remained poor. The economic changed as food rises by the caused of bad harvest.

What were people's attitude towards vagabonds?

People disliked and treated them harshly. They believed that Christiians should work hard and also believed that by being a vagabond you were in the league with the devil and migth tempted to commit crimes. Tthey also believed that they were criminals. Some vagabonds committed crimes such as theft, assault and even murders. But the majority of the population fought they were doing this as a way to get their hands on money without working and chose to be idle.

When printing was invited, people were be able to read lurid stories about being a vagabond because they were frequently read out loud and evenn those unable to read could still get the general message it contained.

Why did people become vagabonds?

People became vagabonds because the were unemployed. So they moved round the country looking fornwork.

Why did vagrancy become a crime?

Mainly because of Landowners. They wanted to change laws and suit themsleves from people they sees as threat and  feared  the numbers of vagrands.
