The rate of photosynthesis is affected by environmental conditions. Three factors that affect the rate of photosynthesis are:
- Amount of light
- Amount of co2
- Temperatrure
Any of these three factors can be the limiting factor. This means that it stops photosynthesis from happening any faster.
If there isnt enough light the rate of photosynthesis slows down. Light provides the energy needed. As the light level is raised the rate of photosynthesis increases too but only up to a certain point.
If there isnt enough carbon dioxide (c02) the rate of photosynthesis slows down. C02 is the same as light. it only increases to a certain point.
