Resultant force

A resultant force is a single force that has the same effect on the object as all the original forces acting on it together.

When the resultant force on a moving object is 0: It will remain at a constant speed and will move in the same direction.

When the resultant force on a moving object in NOT 0: It will accelerate in the direction of the resultant force.

When the object acts the opposite way to the resultant force: It will DECELERATE

When the resultant force on a stationary object is 0: It will not move (stays at rest)

When the resultant force on a stationary object is NOT 0: It will accelerate in the direction of the resultant force.
