Between stave 6 and 13 the notes are embellished with:
Sruti: microtonal inflections
Gamak: wide vibrato around notes
Meends: slides between notes
On staves 14 and 15 the piece uses scale like figures called tans, which represent the JHOR
The JHALA is signified by the entry of the tabla to provide rhyhtmic intensity. The mukhra is used at the opening of the Jhala, with the opening pitches of the rag at stave 21.
