Transcription:

• DNA is copied/transcribed into mRNA
• RNA nucleotides line up by complementary base pairing e.g A-T, C-G, A-U
• They line up to a template DNA strand
• catalysed by RNA polymerase

Translation:

• mRNA moves to ribosomes
• tRNA anticodons bind to mRNA codons
• specific amino acid attached to tRNA
• peptide bond forms between amino acids
