LCM = Everything in the venn diagram multiplied together 

HCF = Everything in the middle of the venn diagram multiplied together

Multiplying Powers = When multiplying powers you add the indices

Dividing Powers = When dividing powers you subtract the indices

A number written in standard form is written in the format A x 10 to the power of n

'A' must be between 1 and 10

To write a number in standard form:

• Work out the value of A
• Work out how many times A must be multiplied or divided by 10 
• This value equals n

Surds

Surds are the numbers that have a decimal as a route 

Eg: the square root of 2

In order to rationalising the denominator, multiple the numerator and the denominator by the surd in the denominator and simplify.
