Macbeth goes with Banquo to meet the WItches after they have won the battle.
The witches make three prophecies - Thane of Cawdor, King and they Banquo's son will be king.
King Duncan makes Macbeth Thane of Cawdor(one of the prophecies has come true)
Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth about the prophecies.
She plans to persuade Macbeth to murder Duncan
Duncan comes to stay at the castle, and Macbeth kills him, after Lady Macbeth's persuasion.

Macbeth gets crowned but not everyone supports him
Macbeth becomes king but feels worrie about the Witches prediction of Banquo's children to become king.
He orders assassins to kill Banquo and his son Fleance
They kill Banquo but Fleance escapes
People begin to suspect that MAcbeth killed Duncan and Banquo.
Macduff starts getting an army together to kill Macbeth and make Malcolm the king

Act Four
Macbeth sees the Witches again and they get three apparitions
They each make a new prophecy.
1. 'Beware Macduff, beware the Thane of Fife'
2. 'None of woman born shall harm Macbeth'
3.'Macbeth shall never vanquished until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him'
Macduff has fled to England.
Macbeth sends murderers to kill Macduff's wife and kids
Macduff proves his loyalty to Malcolm by revealing that the Enlgish king has given him 10,000 soldiers to fight Macbeth.
Macduff learns Macbeth had killed his children and wife and wants to avenge their deaths

Lady Macbeth has gone mental in this act, she starts sleep walking and washing blood off of her hands (there is no blood there)
Scottish lords meet English army to plan to attack Macbeth
Macbeth can hear the English army but doesn't show any fear as he thinks he is invincible because of the Witches' predictions.
Malcolm tells he soldiers to cut the branches of Birnham Wood and use them to hide so they can get to Macbeth's castle (one of the witches predictions)
Macbeth gets ready for battle
Lady Macbeth has killed herself
Macbeth and Macduff meet on the battlefield, Macbeth is confident he will win
Macduff reveals he was not born from a woman naturally but by c-section (one of the Witches predictions)
They fight and Macbeth is killed
Malcolm is then made king of Scotland
