Political Opposition

- Spartacist Uprising 1919 (KPD crushed)

- Kapp Putsch 1920 (Berlin instructed to strike, not enough support)

- Beer-Hall Putsch 1923 (Arrests, intercepted by police)

- Other parties refusal and reluctance to join Weimar (DNVP, NSDAP, KPD + SPD)

- Hatred of Versailles Treaty (Humiliation + weakness)

- Political assassinations (Rathenau + Erzberger) 

NO POLITICAL STABILITY

Economic

- Ruhr Crisis 1923 (France invading the Ruhr, seizing goods to make up for reparation payments) 

- Dawes Plan 1924 (Annual payments of reparations reduced, loan from the USA, withdrawal of France from Ruhr)

- Establishment of a new currency (The 'Rentenmark')

- 'Golden Years' 1924-29 (No putsch attempts, arts and entertainment flourished, social welfare system strengthened BUT political instability never really went away, paramilitary violence + conflicts between employers and  unions)

- Agricultural prices dropped (economic blackspot during 'golden years' leaving farmers in massive debt)

Foreign Affairs

- Policy of 'fulfilment' (Carry out terms of Treaty of Versailles to improve relationships with Britain + France)

- Dawes Plan 1924 (Annual payments of reparations reduced, loan from the USA, withdrawal of France from Ruhr)

- Locarno Pact 1925 (Germany, France + Belgium not to use force to change borders set down by Treaty of Versailles)

- Joined League of Nations 1926 (One of few nations given a permanent seat on it's council. Becoming part of world community)

- Earned massive hatred from extreme right (Anti-Stresemann campaigns occurred, no universal support)

Social Policy

- Improvement in health service (Increased life expectancy, gained support)

- 8 hour days (Much support from workers)

- Dole money (Support from unemployed) 

- New houses built (Support from general public) 

- Increasing debt!!! (Although much support gathered, behind the curtains was increasing debt for the nation, could lead to collapse of economy)
