- Dawes Plan 1924 (Annual payments of reparations reduced, loan from the USA, withdrawal of France from Ruhr)

- 'Golden Years' 1924-29 (No putsch attempts, arts and entertainment flourished, social welfare system strengthened BUT political instability never really went away, paramilitary violence + conflicts between employers and unions)
