  • children tend to express themselves in extreme ways because they find it hard to explain emotions such as; worry, fright, anxiety.

How can parents help children with emotional development?

  • help children understand it is OK to show emotions.
  • giving children opportunities to express their emotion, e.g. giving a child clay or wood can help a child get rid of aggression they may have.
