The end of the Grand alliance

Causes

USA had huge military power over other countries eg/hiroshima
Roosevelt was the key figure holding the grand alliance together however when he died Truman took over he was much more suspicious of the Soviet Union
Potsdam Confrence- there was Manny disagreements eg/ Stalin wanted harsher reparations and Stalin had set up a communist government which they had earlier disagreed on at Yalta

Effects

Caused a break down of trust eg/ the long telegram and novikov telegram
truman doctrine and martial plancomin form and Comecon

Overall summary

After the war the countries began having many disagreements, different views causing the end in the grand alliance. In my opinion the end of the grand alliance was the main cause for the Cold War as it was a trigger for more events.
