Plath & Hughes - water

Plath writes about water being both cleansing and destructive in her poems 'Full Fathom Five' and 'Finisterre' - in which the powerful element is described as both giving and taking life. Hughes can also be seen as conveying the sense of power that water has over humans, who are weak in comparison
