The solution to the obesity epidemic is veganism.

Advantages

  • Would dramatically impact those overweight, and evoke results that can only ever be maintained. No damage to the body as it defies the "yo-yo" diet effect.
  • Would increase life expectancy further
  • Would help those who are truly suffering - both animals and humans included.
  • Encourage a cheaper approach to drug therapies, e.g holistically, as the chances are falling ill are dramatically decreased.

Disadvantages

  • Goes against those who chose to maintain their weight, even if unhealthy
  • Ignores the fact some people cannot help being overweight, and the illnesses that come as a result of that
  • People are partnered with free will, thus can eat animal by-products if they chose - even if it us unhealthy and unethical
  • A global movement of veganism doesn't necessarily provide good treatment for animals.

Evaluation

Overall, the implication of the idea of a global approach to veganism to help solve the epidemic is wholly good as it is a definitive answer to lose weight and severely reduce the degree of illnesses occurred. Not only that, it is entirely beneficial for the environment, and our moralities.
