Are TNC's an advantage or a disadvantage

Advantages

  • They create more jobs as people need to build them, run them and manage them
  • Improves education and skills of the county that they're based in
  • A better developed economic base for the country
  • A stable income for the people who work there
  • The componies help the development of the country by brining in technology and knowledge that the host country does not posses

Disadvantages

  • The jobs that TNC's offer aren't secure
  • Poor working conditions
  • Longer working hours
  • Low wages
  • The profits that the manufactures make go overseas rather that to the locals
  • The natural resources get over-exploited

Evaluation

Overall i think TNC's are more of an advantage than a disadvantage. They generally help to improve and develop the country that they're based in. Although most of the profit that the manufactures makes goes back overseas and bot to the locals, they help to improve education and skills for the local country.Therefore I believe TNC's are more of an advantage than a disadvantage.
