- 1)Air is taken in through the mouth or the nose

- 2)The air flows through the trachea.
- 3)When the trachea reaches the lungs, it divides into the bronchi
- 4)The bronchi then divide into the bronchioles
- 5)At the end of the bronchioles are little clusters called alveoli where gaseous exchange takes place.
