- Resources can influence people to do sport because if there aren't good resources for the sport you want to do you are less likely to do it
- if there are good resources you might think you can improve your ability in the sport
- HEALTH
- health can influence people to do sport because if you are over weight you might want to lose weight by doing sport.
- MEDIA
- media can influence someone to do sport because if they watch it on the TV they might like the look of it and join a club.
- CULTURAL FACTORS
- cultural factors are things like whether or not you have a disability. this could influence you because you would need special resources in order to a sport.
- PEOPLE
- people can influence someone to do sport because if their role model does a sport they might want to copy them and do it too - same as if someones friends does a sport they might want to be with them and do the sport too
- COST
- cost is a very important influence because if the sport you want to do is expensive it could be hard for some people to buy the resources needed

- this is now for people who like sport and would like to participate
- then the next stage is competitive
- foundation stage is where everyone starts off so it has to be a very big project in sport.
