- "Est-ce que" can only be used in a question with être or when the pronoun (que or qui) is the object of the sentence

- When the pronoun (que or qui) is the subject of the sentence, "est-ce qui" must be used

- Que has to elide next to a vowel sound!
- After prepositions and at the end of a question, que becomes quoi
- "Le problème est quoi ?" - What's the problem?

- Can be used to request information
- Pourquoi ("why")
- "Pourquoi mages-tu du pain ?" - Why are you eating bread?
- When they're used with intonation-based questions, they can appear at the beginning and the end of a sentence (except pourqoui)
- "Vous êtes d'où ?" - Where are you from?
- "Tu vas comment ?" - How are you?

- "Quand est-ce que tu vas manger ?" - When are you going to eat?

- If you have "what + noun", always use quel. Also, What + is + noun" is often "quel + être"!
- The preposition "de" can mean both "of" and "from"!
