- Integral setting- setting that is essential to the plot or story

- Oxymoron- when two opposing terms are put together
- Juxtaposition-when two or more ideas are put near each other
- Paradox- a contradictory statement or proposition

- Syndetic listing- lists with connectives
- Hypophora- when the speaker asks a question and answers it themselves
